...a hundred things have happened!

 

Don't you worry. We'll tell you all about what you missed. In fact, to make it easier, we've made a list. 

 

  1. Silje and Hope got lost in Santos...by foot. (Quote; «Excuse me. What is it called here?»)
  2. Hope has regularly been called Uncle Chris at work.

  3. Ragnhild quit snus.

  4. We've been hit on alot.

  5. We have learned how to make boys go away in portuguese. (See point 4)

  6. One of us went tanning on the beach in just the g-string. (no name here)

  7. We've seen snake.

  8. We went swimming behind/under/in a waterfall.

  9. Ragnhild has gone through huge amounts of fruit.

  10. We've had our own account at the video place.

  11. We've all had havaianas scars on our feet.

  12. We've been coping with both a lot of food and very little food.

  13. We sung 'Deilig er jorden' a capella.

  14. A lot of movies have been watched.

  15. The coffee has kept us awake many times.

  16. We've enjoyed a lot of Guarana.

  17. We've seen a huge Brazilian spider.

  18. We were there when Norway won the world championship.

  19. We've learned a lot of music by heart.

  20. We've translated 'min båt er så liten' to Portuguese and performed it.

  21. We've taken our picture with Breivang.

  22. We've taken a nap in a wooden boat in Rio de Janeiro.

  23. We went horsebackriding in the country.

  24. Gunnhild got bit by a bug that caused infection in her foot.

  25. Hope got bit by her dog at home.

  26. We understand when someone is talking badly about us in Portuguese.

  27. We've been to the movies more than we would've been in Norway in 5 months.

  28. Coffee might be better in Norway.

  29. We've visited Brazil's first city.

  30. We've been to the coffemuseum in Santos. They have good coffee there.

  31. We've seen Neymar's building.

  32. We've been to the top of the poor neighbourhood in Santos.

  33. Gunnhild and Ragnhild have been using a bathroom without a door all year.

  34. Silje and Hope have learned which channels they can dub or not.

  35. We've taken a ski-lift over the highway to a mountaintop.

  36. We've squeezed 8 people into 1 car.

  37. We can proudly say we've learned a new language.

  38. Silje and Hope got lost on bikes.

  39. Gunnhild, Ragnhild og Stine never got lost.

  40. We passed a man with a Norwegian jersey on our way home from work.

  41. Ragnhild blew up the gasoven when we were making gingerbread.

  42. We may have gained some weight.

  43. Silje and Hope have been through 2 seasons of Grey's Anatomy.

  44. We've had a blast in the streets when it's pouring down rain.

  45. Hope did an interview for Brazilian sportsnews in Portuguese.

  46. We started Norwegian/Portuguese/English sing-along in the livingroom.

  47. We haven't been very cold, so it's been uncomfortable when we have been freezing.

  48. We climbed into a cave on a deserted island.

  49. Gunnhild sang opera on the beach.

  50. We've walked through the forest at night with strangers.

  51. We've travelled by bus and plane far away without knowing the destination.

  52. We've been offered weed at a skatepark.

  53. Silje read out the Bible.

  54. Hope read out Job's book.

  55. Ragnhild has bought 50 nailpolishes.

  56. We've been swimming in open water from an inflatible banana-boat.

  57. Silje went to the emergency room, had to take an x-ray and had to stand topless into the wall.

  58. Hope painted her toenails once.

  59. We've found out you can sweat everywhere on your body, even behind your knee.

  60. We've eaten pancakes with chocolate and ice-cream inside.

  61. We've worked doubleshifts(9 hours) for 3 weeks.

  62. Silje has used oxygenmask, astmamedication and antibiotics all in one day.

  63. Hope went that crazy at Starbucks in Rio, that she threw up the whole night.

  64. Silje's been proposed to in the middle of the street.

  65. Hope and Silje have been responsible for a minigold-court for a week.

  66. During long days, we've passed time inventing our own projects.

  67. We've been camp- leaders and participants.

  68. We took a roadtrip to Rio de Janeiro.

  69. We've learned the pleasure in small thinks and the excitement over big things.

  70. Brazilians have always thought we were much younger or much older than we are.

  71. Ants in the house have been normal.

  72. Ragnhild, Stine and Gunnhild have eaten a lot of meat- and egg sandwich for dinner.

  73. Silje og Hope were locked in their house at camp for hours.

  74. We spent 280 kroner at an ice-cream bar one night.

  75. Hope made a football cup for 70 crazy kids.

  76. Silje celebrated 1 year with her boyfriend.

  77. Hope went for a walk at 5 in the morning.

  78. We've all had lice.

  79. Hope returns with 32 t-shirts and 6 caps.

  80. We met a Norwegian, Magnus, on the street. Quote; «er dere fra norge?»

  81. Linda has been here.

  82. We watched a horror movie at the cinema. (Gunnhild screamed)

  83. Silje gave supper to a man sleeping on the street.

  84. We've had our own driver, Paulo. We dig him.

  85. Hope fell asleep in her own Portuguese class.

  86. Gunnhild's sense of direction is on an all-time-low.

  87. We took a picture with Santa Claus.

  88. We've seen Neymar dance after penalty.

  89. Gunnhild was offered a kiss from an Italian football player.

  90. We've found our own café.

  91. We've been to Latin-America's biggest mall. #ohthejoy

  92. We met a lady who thought Norway was in the US.

  93. Gunnhild has talked Portuguese in her sleep.

  94. We went to a footballgame with over 14 000 angry Brazilians.

  95. Silje lost her bouncing ball from the 15th floor in Rio de Janeiro. A little funny.

  96. We've been aired on TV in Norway and in Brazil.

  97. We painted the girls nails at work several times.

  98. Hope has written her 'Book of love.'

  99. We can make ourselves believe that we're called Tia(Aunt).

  100. We've had a blast. 

 

We said before we left Norway that we could only try to describe our experience in words when our journey was over, but we see now that it can't be done. We take with us all kinds of memories, people, conversations, places, smells and experiences and hold on to them.
But now it's packing, eating, packing, eating, packing, leaving.
